Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street
Why is he the grouchiest Muppet ever? Well, because he is a grouch, and even though all grouches are grouchy by nature, but he is the grouchiest of them all!
Oscar was one of my favorite characters from the classic Sesame Street television series growing up, because he was so contrary to everyone else on Sesame Street, and yet fit in. Sometimes I felt like a misfit and alone when I was a kid, so I could sympathize with him sometimes.
But at the same time, even being so grouchy, something he shows that he does have a heart, and it's in the right place.
The Top Five Reasons Oscar The Grouch is the Grouchiest Muppet
- He lives in a trash can - who would not be grouchy living there?
- People throw garbage into his house - that would make me grouchy (although it adds to his collection)
- People insist on being nice to him - worst thing in the world for a grouch.
- He's green - it's not easy being green, so I've heard.
- He has a pet worm - rather limiting what fun you can have with a pet like that.
